As we prepare to celebrate the approaching holidays with our loved ones, our thoughts turn to those in our community that are struggling and need some holiday blessings. At Southwestern Payroll, we involve our entire staff when it comes to giving. That’s why we forego the common employee gift exchange and adopt a family in need through Family & Children’s Services instead.
Through their generous support and company contributions, our team rallied together to fulfill the primary needs that our family of four expressed, including a full set of living room furniture and a microwave oven. We also were able to provide their secondary wishes so Christmas morning can be bright for the whole family! It was exciting to watch our “angels” choose cards from the tree in our lobby, and replace them with colorfully wrapped packages of winter coats, kitchen wares, books, and toys below.
Adopting a family in need of holiday assistance through Family & Children’s Services of Tulsa always provides an uplifting and joyous tradition that we look forward to each year.
For us, caring for those here in our own community helps to make us who we are as a company. After all, generosity of spirit and the gift of hope are at the heart of the season.
