Recently, Southwestern Payroll’s amazing Samantha Hartanovich partnered with Aqua Vita Creative to deliver dictionaries to elementary-age students at Cooper Elementary.
One for Every Child
Delivering dictionaries is a program that Tulsa Southside Rotary has done for a long time. The program gives a new dictionary to every third grader in Tulsa Public Schools. Each dictionary has the child’s name inside the cover. The kids are often ecstatic to receive any book, but especially one with information about sign language and the solar system they find in the back!
From the looks on their faces, it makes their day. For some of them, this is the first book they are allowed to take home and keep – and that’s a big deal.
