Logging into Payentry ESS for the First Time

2) Click I don’t have an account.
3) Enter information into the screen, including the link code you received from your administrator.
Note: The ZIP Code you enter must match the one included in Millennium 3, otherwise the link process fails.

For more information, see Employee Self Service Portal Configuration Screen. The activation email includes a code needed to activate your account in Payentry ESS.
5) Click the link in the email.
6) Click Click Here to Sign In.
7) Log in using your user name and password.
After you have created your account and linked it to your company, you are able to log into the Payentry ESS portal. When you do so for the first time, you are prompted to configure security questions and two-factor authentication. To do so:
1) From the Payentry ESS portal login screen, enter the username and password you configured.
2) Click Sign In.
3) Select a question from each of the four drop-down menus and input answers. These questions are used to recover lost passwords and for security.
Note: The answers to each question must have 5 or more characters.
4) When you are satisfied with your answers, click Save and Continue. Your answers are stored and the system displays the below screen.
Through one of three methods, you receive an authentication code that you input every time you log into Payentry ESS in addition to your user name and password. This is for added security. For more information, see Logging in with Two-Factor Authentication.
You must configure a primary authentication method. You can also configure a secondary authentication method, used when the primary method is unavailable. (Note: You cannot use the Smartphone Application method as your secondary method.)
You can choose to authenticate yourself through one of three methods:
A) Smartphone Application — This method uses an external authentication application such as Google Authenticator or Toofer that you download onto your smart device. These applications display a temporary code that you enter into Payentry ESS. To activate this method:
- Download the application to your phone.
- Scan the displayed QR code.
- Enter the code displayed on your phone into the Enter Code box.
- Click Validate Code.
If you choose to use this method of authentication, proceed to the next numbered step.
B) Text Message — This method sends a text message with your authentication code to your phone at the number you specify.
To activate this method:
- Select Text Message.
- Enter your phone number into the upper box.
- Click Send Code.
- Enter the code you received from the text message into the second box.
- Click Validate Code.
If you choose to use this method of authentication, proceed to the next numbered step.
C) Voice Call — This method calls a phone number you specified with an automated message that reads your authentication code. To activate this method:
- Select Voice Call.
- Enter your phone number into the upper box, including the extension if necessary.
- Click Send Code.
- Enter the code you received into the second box.
- Click Validate Code.
If you choose to use this method of authentication, proceed to the next numbered step.
5) Optional. Enter a secondary authentication method that Payentry ESS can use in the event that your primary number is unavailable. To do so:
- Select either Text SMS or Voice Call in the Secondary Method section.
- Enter the phone number to use.
- Click Send Code.
- Enter the code you receive.
- Click Validate Code.
Note: If you choose not to set up backup phone numbers at this point, you can do so at any time by navigating to the Two-Factor Authentication setup screen under Settings. For more information, see Company Setup Screen.
6) Click Done.
After configuring two-factor authentication and security questions, you must activate employee access to the company. To do so:
1) From the company list screen, shown in figure, click Activate. An activation code will be sent to the email address provided in Payentry.
2) Enter that code into the screen displayed.
3) Click Activate.
You are now logged into Payentry ESS and have access to its features.
